Beliefs
By Jim on November 12, 2009 - 10:11am
Running for office is one thing, but serving out a term is another. In order to accurately represent the people, a Congressman must honestly describe his beliefs during a campaign and then live up to those beliefs while in office. Thus, documenting a candidate's beliefs serves several purposes:
- It forces the candidate to think about his beliefs
- It allows voters to better evaluate the candidate prior to voting
- It allows the successful representative to remember his statements while in office
- It allows voters to hold their representatives accountable
I encourage you to evaluate my beliefs as described on this site and to provide feedback directly through our contact form or publicly in the Liberty Forum. As our campaign progresses, we will be documenting many more of my beliefs and refining our information, so I encourage you to check back often for our updates.
